Hello Everyone! I'm back from another week's holiday, this time we stayed by Lake Bled in Slovenia. We enjoyed lots of lovely hikes of course, and some great weather for it. We'll definitely return there, as it's a beautiful place. And yesterday, my husband started his new job, after being made redundant at the end of March. So he was fortunate and not unemployed for too long thankfully.
As it's Elizabeth's T-Day today, I'm showing my yummy, mid-morning peppermint tea, with some delicious strawberries picked from our garden. Luckily the birds and slugs hadn't got too many whilst we were away! I'll be having them with some greek yoghurt later :-)
I'm a little behind with my 365 Somethings for I Hanna and Daisy Yellow's Instagram challenge, but I've decorated seven teabags for week 21, and there'll be more to follow in the next few days.
I first painted them with white gesso, then added some turquoise acrylic paint with my fingers. Then I printed with green acrylic, using a plastic aida circle. I added washi tape, torn book page, and stamped and painted images by France Papillon and Birgit Koopsen. I finished with some black ink splatters.
Wishing you all a very happy Tuesday T-Day!

ReplyDeletehappy t-day!
I want to begin with your teabag art. You KNOW what a fan of it I am. I SO love the ones you created for week 21. As always, I am amazed how you manage to come up with a different theme each week.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE strawberries that come straight off the vine, but don't care for then if they've been used in or added to something. However, I'm in love with that ceramic mug and surprised you drink Lipton tea. It's a bog seller in the states, though.
Your holiday sounds wonderful and time away was just what you and your husband needed before he started that new job. Thanks for sharing your art, your trip, your strawberries, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday.
Your Tcup is just gorgeous Alison! I like my strawberries in a strawberry shortcake best! i always add a little bit of Equal to my strawberries as most are not sweet enough for my taste... Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your husband found a new job quickly, Alison. Once that was assured you could treat you yourselves to a lovely getaway. Nice. I hope he likes the new job.
ReplyDeleteYour strawberies are impressive. There's nothing quite like fresh picked fruits and vegetables.
Your tea paper circlse are lovely. I don't know what an aida circle is. Perhaps the type of plastic used for cross stitch?
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
I've tried to grow strawberries on my patio without any luck. Yours look delicious! Congrats! Happy T Tuesday
