Hello all.
Rachel Greig's Day 2 prompt for Artful August is 'Dots'.
I began my 15 minute page with a torn out book page. I used bubble wrap and turquoise acrylic paint to print the first layer of dots, then various stencils and black and white acrylic. I layered up some brown paper collage fodder with a piece of handmade paper that had glitter dots on it, then added a Tim Holtz Paper Doll and word stickers. I finished with some white paint splatters. Phew!!! It's a good job I have lots of stuff within easy reach on my desk.
I'm linking up again to Neet's Type theme at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks for visiting,
Alison
I love the idea of these 15 minute pages but I think I would spend 15 minutes just thinking about it, is that allowed on top of the 15 minutes mentioned?
ReplyDeleteYou are showing talent at doing these Alison and I do like the way you have layered the various elements together.
Your Tim Holtz Doll is both 'delightful' and 'charming' and I think her bouquet is echoed in the shapes on the lilac paper.
Have a lovely day
Hugs, Neet xx

ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing with us at AJJ too.
ReplyDeleteAnother jaw dropping beauty with layer upon layer of beauty. I still can't imagine making something this incredible in 15 minutes. It takes me longer to go through my collection of TH paper dolls to find the one I want to use. This is stunning and another great entry for Neet's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear.
ReplyDeleteLove this beautifully composted page. The girl is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy August xx
Another great page for Neet's theme at AJJ as well as making it perfect for the August Art challenge. Hugs, Chrisx
